Hello Human Being.
This week’s theme is: On Top
(Hosted by The Daily Post)
“On top can be a feeling, a perspective, or a physical location.“
“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.
Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
― Roald Dahl
When I initially saw the theme for this week, I immediately thought of the phrase “on top of the world” and began to consider the images in my portfolio that reflect that.
But then it occurred to me that this is a theme rooted deep in perspective.
What is “on top” for one, is “under foot” for another. Often in life, we hear people say “Don’t look down! You miss so much. Look up! Look ahead!”
I challenge that method of thinking. There is beauty and magic to be found everywhere, even at our feet.
There is a small and mesmerizing world around us of busy, buzzing little creatures. I like to ponder what the world is like for them.
How vast and massive it must seem. How high it must feel to sit atop a flower, when you are so very small.
